Privacy Policy

Based on the policy detailed below, Marvelous Entertainment Inc. (hereinafter referred to as MMV) shall pay special attention and care in the handling of personal information related to its customers.

  1. When a customer elects to use a service provided by MMV, said customer may be required to provide personal information as required by the scope of the service being provided. In these cases, MMV shall inform the customer as to the purpose of the personal information being gathered. Furthermore, said personal information shall only be used for the stated scope and purpose.
  2. With regard to the gathering of personal information related to minors, MMV shall pay particular attention as to how this information is handled. In the event that personal information is solicited from customers under 13 years of age, said information shall only be gathered following the granting of permission to do so from a parent or guardian.
  3. Apart from the specific instances given below, personal information solicited from customers may not be shared with other companies or organizations unless the customer has given his/her consent for this to happen.
    1. In the event that, following the exchange of a fully-executed non-disclosure agreement, personal information is disclosed to an outsourcing company charged with the responsibility of handling said personal information.
      Furthermore, MMV shall undertake a strict selection procedure to choose the outsourcing company for the purpose of handling said personal information. This outsourcing company shall be bound by an outsourcing agreement that includes stipulations and provisions for the management of said personal information, the protection of confidentiality and the prevention of information leaks, etc.
    2. In the event of a legal request to disclose said personal information, or following an order from a public body such as a court of law or the police, etc.
  4. In the event that a customer requests to view his/her personal information or to make some changes therein, MMV shall respond to said request within a reasonable timeframe. Please click here for more details.
  5. In order to guard against unauthorized access to and leaks from the database holding said personal information, MMV shall implement appropriate measures to prevent this from occurring.
  6. MMV pledges to maintain a management system to protect said personal information going forward, in addition to carrying out proper reviews and making appropriate improvements to the manner in which this information is handled. Furthermore, MMV shall review and update this privacy policy, in whole or in part, in accordance with any changes to the law or the social environment.
  7. This privacy policy has been prepared to confirm with Japanese law. The competent court of first instance and any rulings therein shall come under the auspices of the Tokyo District Court.
